We built this tool as a platform to help people, and we want to make every effort to ensure your data is protected, secure, and not misused.
To make Manual of Me function properly, we store data. Some of it can personally identify you, and some is related to you but does not identify you. This policy explains what we store, where we store it, why and how we use it, and how long we keep it for — along with contact details if you ever want to ask questions.
When you create a Manual of Me, you will have entered your email address. This is so you can recall your Manual later, and so we can email you about your account and service.
You can also enter your name on the Edit Manual page. These are the only personally identifiable items of data we store about you.
We also store the content of your Manual, along with things like when you last logged in, when you first created your Manual, and which teams you are a member of.
We collect data from your entering of details and completion/use of the Manual.

We do not undertake profiling or make automated decisions based on your personally identifiable information.
We do not send marketing or promotional emails from this platform.
We store your Manual and account data for as long as you would like us to store it (i.e. until you request deletion or close your account). If the site is taken offline, all data will be deleted. If this happens, you will have the chance to download a copy of your data beforehand.
You can request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@manualof.me. We also retain backups for a limited period for security and recovery purposes.

We use a third-party email delivery provider (Postmark) to send service emails such as magic links. Postmark processes your email address only to deliver these emails.
Some service providers may process data outside the UK/EU. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms).
If you accept an invite to a team, the content of your Manual may be shared with others in that team/organisation. When you accept an invite, you are choosing to share your content with that group of people under the sharing settings you control.
If you choose to turn on public sharing of your Manual, anyone you provide the public URL to will be able to see your shared content. They are not able to see your email address, but they can see your name and Manual contents (as shared by you).
We use strictly necessary cookies to store session information. This means you do not have to log in on every page, and the site can remember who you are.
These cookies last for the duration of your session, and may persist for up to 1 month so you can return without needing to log in again.
You can opt out of cookies by disabling them in your browser, but the site is likely not to work correctly.
